Chinese Ginger Jar 19th Century

Description

This Chinese ginger jar and cover dates from the mid 19th century and is in perfect condition with no damage or restoration. The jar is in hard paste porcelain with a beautiful turquoise ground colour, hand painted and decorated with a figure riding upon a Kylin with attendants in landscape with flowering trees. The jar has a painted Qianlong mark in red to the base and measures 18 cms high and 15 cms in diameter.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
