This very striking ENGLISH MAJOLICA BREAD PLATE dates from circa 1880.

The colours of the liquid, majolica glazes are strong and the lilac shade n the border is particularly attractive.

The condition is good. There are no cracks, chips or restoration. There is a glaze miss (caused in the making) on the underside of the rim and some very minor glaze rubs.
