A fine pair of Early Staffordshire square base figures representing Peace and Charity. The figure of Charity is decorated particularly well in good enamel colours to the clothes and faces, and is in good condition. The figure of Peace is shown burning the symbols of war. The figure is decorated in enamel colours to good high standard and is in very good condition with a minor chip and some restoration to the torch. The pair date to C.1820.
