Worcester Porcelain Trio. Dragons in Compartments, C. 1770.

Description

Worcester porcelain trio, c. 1770. The fluted pieces, all vibrantly painted in the ‘Dragons in Compartments Pattern, with panels of Kylin dogs, and vases on a low table. The borders with stylised flower heads, and cell diaper motif, and heightened in gilt.

Underglaze blue hatched square mark to bases of the coffee cup and the saucer.

Height of coffee cup - 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.

Diameter of saucer - 13.7 cm, 5 3/8”.

Condition - Typical minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise in perfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
