Fine English Porcelain Cottage Pastille Burner. Possibly Spode, C. 1830

Description

A fine and large English porcelain pastille burner, c. 1830, possibly Spode. Modelled as cottage, profusely encrusted with flowers and bocage. Having two chimneys, and a porch, painted with roses. The gable end, with a retractable, encrusted tray, to carry a pastille tablet.

Set before paved lawns, upon a mound base.

Height - 6 3/4", 17.3 cm.

Length - 8", 20.3 cm.

Condition - Typical, very minor chips to the foliage. Crack across the internal tray. Otherwise in exceptionally fine condition.
