Wedgwood Darwin Botanical Set of Three Plates, Circa 1800

Description

Very rare set of three Wedgwood Darwin Botanical plates, circa 1800. Each plate is approx. 18.5cm diameter by approx. 2cm deep. Each on a flat base, stamped Wedgwood on the outer base edge, each with an underglaze blue decorator mark. One plate rivetted, one plate with two rim hairlines, the third plate with a shallow back chip and a base only star crack that does not run through to the front. There is a lot of information on the web on the Darwin design by Wedgwood, rare to get a set on three even when damaged. You can find this item under the miscellaneous section on our website.
