A fine Royal Worcester reticulated ewer signed George Owen. Graduated bands of honeycomb reticulation surrounding a central band of reticulated geometric shapes. Further reticulation to the handle and foot rim.
Adorned with both raised paste ''embroidered'' gilding and flat gilding, simulated seed pearls to the foot rim, the ewer is fully Factory marked in gold with a date code for 1918. Additional painted marks ''61'' which we believe to be modellers marks for Owens son, George Potter Owen who potted many of the decorative items his father then reticulated. Incised signature to base, G Owen.
