Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The "piggy bank" Wemyss pigs are much, much rarer than the normal ones as they had to be broken to get the money out thus not many survived. Joseph Nekola started the Devon factory after the original Fife Wemyss factory closed in 1928.

This example is in first class condition with no damage, cracks or repairs and has been really well painted.
The tail is slightly flatter than earlier Scottish ones but apart from that exactly the same.
