A fine and interesting Mason''s blue and white transfer printed platter. The platter has a central scene of King''s College Chapel in Cambridge with a Chinese typical border. The platter is marked in transfer with ''Mason''s patent Ironstone china'' mark and with the name ''James Lawrance'' who was the cook at the college who actually owned and provided the china for the college. The platter is in very good condition and of the largest size, there is one small hairline and some discolouration in the glaze on the reverse.
