Description

A very decorative, early C19th pair of carved wood French tazzas / urns / fruit bowls, with original painted decoration. The circular tops with a serrated edge painted with trailing flowers; the interiors, one painted with a pineapple and the other with a water melon. The shallow bowl, one painted with trailing strawberries, the other with trailing cherries; on a turned column painted with stylised leaves raised on a black and gilt stepped plinth.
