Description

This is a beautifully detailed hand painted Satsuma teapot with wonderful colours and clarity to the work. The teapot dates from the late 19th century and is in excellent original condition, save for slight rubbing to the finial. It has a pretty garden scene with children and chickens amongst blossoms to one side and a beautiful mountain and lakeside landscape to the other. The piece has very fine floral gilding and bears a seal mark to the base. This measures 15cm high and 10cm in diameter.
