A lovely pair of Victorian period children''s or nursery plates. The plates both are octagonal with a fancy moulded edge. The centres are transfer printed with two scenes; ''The birds nest'' and ''Docility'' both are decorated in underglaze colours. The plates are not marked but do have a patent mark dating them to 1847.
