For sale is this rare Arita octagonal underglaze blue and gilt decorated bowl dating to the early 18th century. With a diameter of approx 14.7cm and 6.8cm tall, the bowl is in excellent condition with just two fleabites to the gilt rim. There is no chipping, hairlines or restoration and the bowl retains most of its original gilt which is uncommon on Japanese wares of this age. A rare item in this shape, condition and this style of decoration.
