Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
Size-plates 6 inches square, serving dish 13 inches by 6 inches.
The sandwiches or cakes were presented on the serving dish, and then people helped themselves using the individual plates. They are still lovely for the purpose, or whatever use you wish.
With some minor wear to the gilding, and a small chip to the underside of the large serving dish edge, in good condition overall, and a great value for 7 pieces.
Very stylish shapes for today as well.
