"THE IRISHMAN" : a Royal Worcester porcelain figure from the "Countries of the World" series of nine figures by James Hadley.

In 1881 James Hadley, the factory's most famous and highly-regarded modeller, designed a series of nine porcelain figures representing "Countries of the World".

Originally in white with gilt highlights and tinted faces, they were later produced in different colours. The Irishman here is a fine example in perfect condition and date coded for 1882. About 7ins high.
