Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 1860s.
This particular pattern is very reminiscent of a Mason's Ironstone design. It is known that Davenport bought some of Charles Mason's designs at that pottery's bankruptcy sale in March 1848. The service consists of six tea cups and saucers, six side plates, milk jug, sugar basin and two large sandwich plates.
