Great Quality Japanese Satsuma Bowl Meiji 1868-1912

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this super quality Japanese satsuma bowl signed we believe by Nikko , this lobed shaped bowl is painted inside and out with fine quality gilded floral detail including chrysanthemum,wisteria and many other colourful flowers , the centre of the bowl decorated with butterflys amidst a fine gilt spray further reinforce the superb attention to detail.

Condition is everything and this bowl is as perfect as you could ever wish to find it with no damage or restorations and not gilt rubbed , a bowl for the purist collector !!
