A Delft bough pot is a tin-glazed earthenware vessel produced during the 17th and 18th centuries, designed specifically to display cut flowering branches, bulbs, or floral arrangements indoors.

These vessels were hand-formed from earthenware clay, coated with an opaque white tin glaze, and painted with cobalt blue oxide decoration before undergoing a single high-temperature kiln firing.

Authentic pieces feature a reddish or buff earthenware body beneath a soft tin glaze, natural glaze crazing, slight rim wear or chipping (known as nibbling), and distinct variations in hand-painted cobalt decoration.
