This is a beautiful, original 17th-century Chinese Provincial Ginger Jar (Guan) dating from the late Ming Dynasty - Circa 1630-1640.

The fabulous piece is hand-painted with sketchy brushstrokes depicting a coastal scene with a fishing village, which is highlighted by geometric lines and patterns.

It has a stunning patina, and it displays wonderfully.
