This finely potted cabinet jar features a classic and vibrant Huaniao (Birds and Flowers) motif, expertly rendered in a rich famille rose and wucai hybrid palette typical of the late Qing Dynasty revival period. The main body depicts two brilliantly enamelled long-tailed pheasants perched amidst an asymmetrical composition of pierced scholars'' rockery, blossoming peonies, and twisting plum branches. The reverse is balanced by elegant sprays of yellow chrysanthemum and seasonal flora.
