Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Kingsware is a distinctive line of ceramic art produced by Royal Doulton from the late nineteenth century into the early twentieth century. It is characterised by dark brown warm-toned glazes and low-relief moulded figures depicting historical, sporting, or literary themes.

These flasks were typically made from dense stoneware or earthenware body pottery coated with a glossy liquid glaze. Stoppers often incorporated natural cork fitted with silver-plated or pewter mounts secured to the neck by a small metal chain.

Authentic pieces feature backstamps stamped into the base, such as the Royal Doulton lion and crown mark or specific Kingsware signatures. Look for integral raised relief figures crafted directly into the clay body rather than painted surface designs.

Display the flask on a wooden sideboard, curated bar cart, or within a dark wood bookshelf alongside framed prints or brass accents. It adds texture and historical character to modern entertaining spaces and home offices.

Wipe the glazed ceramic surface gently with a damp microfiber cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners. Keep the cork dry to prevent deterioration, and lightly polish any silver-plated fittings with a soft cloth intended for metal care.
