A beautiful set of four antique Samson Hancock Derby coffee cans and saucers, decorated in the classic King’s Pattern Imari design, dating to the circa 1860s. These elegant pieces are a fine example of 19th-century English porcelain, renowned for its rich colours and intricate decoration.

Each cup and saucer is decorated in the traditional Imari palette of deep cobalt blue, iron red, and gilt highlights, with ornate pattern work typical of Samson Hancock Derby’s celebrated King’s pattern. The combination of vibrant colours and gilded detail makes this set both highly decorative and very collectable.

Condition

Presented in very good antique condition, with no chips or repairs. There is slight discolouration consistent with age and some light wear to the gilding, which is typical for pieces of this period. Overall, the set remains incredibly attractive and highly decorative.
