This Regency pearlware earthenware cottage figure comes from the Mexborough factory and dates from circa 1820. The decorative piece takes the form of a small house with a white-finished body, a blue tiled roof, and a central chimney stack, complemented by applied standing figures flanking the structure on green bases. Additional moulded features include window frames set into the walls, small faces looking out from upper openings, and an arched central door. The glossy glazed finish incorporates orange, blue, and brown polychrome decoration across the roof edges and figures. Standing at 12.5 cm high, 11 cm wide, and 7 cm deep, the pottery object functions well as a decorative mantelpiece ornament in a traditional or English Country House interior.
