Pair of ‘Mason’s Ironstone’ Lamps C1840

Description

This eye-catching PAIR OF ‘MASON’S IRONSTONE’ LAMPS date from circa 1840.

The MAZARINE BLUE LAMPS are hexagonal in shape and have detailed LION MASK handles to the sides. This deep, rich BLUE is typical of Mason’s Ironstone Pottery.

The condition is good. There are some minor grazes, as would be expected, and a chip to the foot rim of one lamp, which has been coloured out. When placed at the back this is not noticeable.

The LAMPS require rewiring by a qualified Electrician before use.

Height: 13.5 inches (35 cm) not including fittings
