This UNUSUAL and GENUINE VICTORIAN STAFFORDSHIRE DOG MONEY BOX dates from circa 1880.
It has an attractive pinched pie-crust foot rim.
A rare, genuine survivor amidst a world of reproductions.
There is an old crack to the base which is solid and stable and a couple of small, fine hairlines coming from the aperture where over-enthusiastic children have either tried to put their money in or, more likely, get their money out.
There are no chips or restoration.
A good addition to a collection of Staffordshire Dogs.
Height: 3.75 inches (9 cm)
