Large Palissy style French oval fish platter, by Victor Barbizet, (attributed) circa 1865
Lively majolica oval dish, molded and applied with fish, lobster, shells, insects, frog and lizard all set on leafy fronds around an oval waterway.
Of good proportion with well placed and arranged subjects, fine tortoiseshell marbled back.
Extensive tight old rivet repairs to the bottom edge, all still good, sound and bright.
