Rare Palissy Ware Wall Plate, Mafra Caldao, Portugal, circa 1880

Modeled with a variety of shell fish on a mossy ground, including clams, mussels, cockles and sea-urchin, the brown glazed back with the impressed mark of Mafra Caldao, Portugal,

Diameter 8,1/8" or 20.5cm weight 943 grams.

In very good sound bright condition noting insignificant losses and nibbles to shell rims, chips to the back base rim.
