In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

To commemorate the coronation of Tsar Nicholas II in May 1896, several prominent European ceramic manufacturers, including Sarreguemines in France, were commissioned to produce decorative souvenirs featuring Imperial Russian insignia, Cyrillic lettering, and official monograms.

This type of vessel is crafted from glazed earthenware or majolica, utilizing press-moulded relief details. The decorative elements are highlighted with coloured lead glazes, creating a distinct two-tone contrast between the relief motifs and the body.

Authentic examples feature impressed factory marks on the underside, such as the Sarreguemines shield or name, alongside crisp relief moulding of the Romanov double-headed eagle, the Cyrillic NII monogram, and the specific date 1896.

Vessels of this nature are styled as historical accents within a bookshelf, placed on a sideboard alongside framed artwork, or grouped with vintage ceramics in a dedicated glass display cabinet.

Maintain glazed earthenware by dusting with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid immersing antique ceramics in water or using abrasive chemical cleaners, as moisture can enter fine glaze crazing and cause internal staining.
