Pair Black & White Staffordshire Dogs No 5 C1860

Description

This charming PAIR OF VICTORIAN BLACK AND WHITE STAFFORDSHIRE DOGS date from circa 1860.

They are Size Number 5 and bear the number in relief to the base and the hand painted Decorator’s Number 2.

The DOGS have beautifully painted faces with very expressive eyes and eyebrows.

The condition of the DOGS is good. There is no restoration. There is an old, surface chip to the underside of the base at the back. This does not detract from the Dog when displayed as it is barely visible.

Height: 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
