A large Majolica charger. Circa 1890. Italian, possibly Neopolitan.
Decorated in Urbino style of Figures, Flowers, and classical mythical winged beasts. Hand decorated with narrative centre scene depicting a gathering of putti / cherubs in verse with scripts and horn / trumpet, with scrolling foliage and winged beasts covering the remaining surface. The allegorical scenes from classical mythology in a range of colours, in which yellow, orange and blue predominate, against white tin-glazed earthenware.
In excellent condition - only minor edge wear to glaze (table not included).
