Pair of Victorian Staffordshire Dogs

A good pair of Nineteenth Century Staffordshire Spaniels, with well painted brown coats and good painted faces, with yellow eyes and a slightly haughty expression. The body and glaze of the pair are typical of the C.1870 period but the decoration in overglaze enamels is much better than average. The condition is quite good, but one does have a star crack to the base.
