Two Caughley Porcelain Pickle Leaf Dishes in Fisherman & Cormorant / Pleasure Boat Pattern, C. 1780

Description

A pair of late 18th century antique Caughley porcelain leaf-shaped pickle dishes. Moulded leaf vein detail to the undersides and serrated edges.



Transfer printed with the blue and white Chinoiserie Fisherman & Cormorant pattern, also known as the "Pleasure Boat".



England, c. 1780-1795, George III period.



Dimensions : 9.5 cm x 10 cm x 2.8 cm



Reference: Caughley & Worcester Porcelains by Godden, plate 138.



Condition: One dish has some nibbling along the rim; the other one is in excellent antique condition.
