A Very Large 19thc Minton Art Union of London Parian Figure of Solitude 52.5cm

A mid-19th-century Minton J. Lawlor Art Union of London Parian sculpture of Solitude, formed as a semi-clad lady aside stork by Minton, in a naturalistic setting, titled, signed and dated, London 1852, 52.5cm H.

One of these rare and fabulous figures sold at Goldings and Young; it sold for £1,200 three years ago.

This is in remarkable condition with no damage or losses; normally, the bird's beak is broken off or pieces are missing. This looks to have had a very old touch-up to the beak, but it looks superb. Great condition, highly decorative and the perfect Christmas present for lovers of Minton and the finest parian.
