Description

Fine original pair of miniature English Staffordshire pearlware pottery figures of nesting Nun Pigeons, circa 1820.

Rare decorative models allied to the larger two piece pigeon tureens, these are modelled in one piece.

Hollow hand press moulded examples with fine details highlighted by the bright enamel colours.

Green moss ware lines the brown twig nests.

The birds in contrasting colours of pink / mauve and French blue

In excellent condition with no damage or repair.

Length 3,15/16" or 10cm
