Italian Porcelain Plaque Madonna and Child

Description

This is a beautiful Venetian porcelain plaque with original painting of the Madonna and child dating from around 1880. The plaque is set in its stunning original hand carved Giltwood frame with beautiful water gilded finish. This has delightful bold colours and is extremely well painted with fine detail.

The piece is in excellent order and measures 28 cms by 24 cms overall, with the frame. The oval plaque itself is 15 cms by 11 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
