Superb Large Pair of Royal Dux Figures

A fine pair of Royal Dux figures in the neoclassical manner and possibly representing Ganymede and Hebe, the cupbearers to the gods. The pair are beautifully modelled in stunning detail and decorated in the traditional Royal Dux palette of blue, pink, cream and gold. The figures are of an impressive size and finished to the same high standard all the way around. The pair are both marked with the Royal Dux pink triangle mark with the central E and an early design number. The two figures are in very good condition there is the odd surface mark, very minor chip to the laurel in the male figure’s hair and a possibility the ewer the female figure is carrying has been reglued. The pair are stunning examples of porcelain figures with an impressive look. C.1900
