A true pair as they are left and right handed, they are both stamped by the maker Whitaker & Co, stone maker Blackburn, an old Lancashire company. They are great scale, well moulded and have super presence with nice gentle faces. They are both in very good condition with a small corner missing from back of the plinth and a repair to one back corner. A very decorative pair of English mid 19th century antique glazed lions, a rare model and design.
