Fine original large pair of English Staffordshire pottery separate leg poodles, circa 1890.

Good early hand press moulded examples, strong and bold with handsome character faces.

Their part clipped 'Lion cut' coat defined with pottery shards or gravel ware.

In excellent bright sound condition with no damage or repair, noting kiln/glaze patch on the back of one.

Height 9,1/2" or 242mm

Gross weight 2478 grams.
