Lovely Antique 19th Century Davenport Longport Botanical Floral Dessert Service.

Description

This wonderful Davenport dessert service consists of 9 plates and 2 comports all beautifully hand painted with different floral scenes.

They measure:

Comports: 24 cm (wide) x 12.8 cm (high).

Plates: 24 cm.

Measurements approx and at its widest and tallest point.

Stamped to base with 'Crowned Davenport Longport Staffordshire' printed mark & impressed Davenport mark.

Also pattern no: '1615 H' please see photo.

Date: C.1870-87

Condition: One plate with hairline (star) crack to centre of the plate. One of the comports has had the base glued. Some rubbing to the gilding in areas and slight wear to some paint work.

William Greenwood Fine Art has dated this piece to the 1870s.
