A Charles I oak armchair, the carved top rail with pointed top above a finely carved back panel , the shaped arms with turned supports above the seat , the turned front and plain back legs united by plain stretchers. Fine colour and patina with excellent carving. The seat has been replaced in Victorian times and there is an old repair on the top of the right arm (see photo) otherwise a good bold chair. English Circa 1640.
