Antique Carved Oak Elbow Chair

Description

An attractive and well presented antique carved oak elbow chair. The antique chair features a high back with ornate carved decoration, including a central panel with foliate detail and a striking carved mask motif to both the crest and centre. The shaped arms are supported by turned uprights, leading to a solid seat and a base united by stretchers. The oak displays a rich, dark colour throughout, enhancing the depth of the carving and overall character of the piece.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and light scratches to the seat, arms and frame (as expected with use). The chair remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of an antique carved oak hall chair.
