Early C19th Regency period mahogany framed bergere library armchair .
The reeded mahogany frame with ebony inlaid line detail and raised on sabre-type fore-legs .
The front rail with carved corner blocks and ebony motif inlaid bar . The bergere cane-panelled shapely back of exaggerated ergonomic design, having further bergere panelled sides and seat .
The arms having upholstered elbow-rest pads (stripped of fabric) and scrolled terminals , the seat retaining it’s original loose squab cushion with horse-hair filling.
In excellent original condition with no damage to cane or damage or repairs to the mahogany frame . The mahogany retaining it’s original surface, having achieved a rich colour and patina.
