This style typically features rigid wooden construction, flat panelled backs, and elaborate surface carving reflecting late seventeenth-century English joinery traditions.

They were predominantly crafted from solid English oak, utilizing mortise and tenon joints secured with wooden pegs.

Authenticity is assessed through tool marks, hand-cut joinery, timber shrinkage patterns, oxidized patination, and the absence of modern machine fastenings.

Placing it as a statement seat against a minimalist neutral wall allows the historic carved wood details to serve as a focal point.

Maintain stable ambient humidity and temperature levels, avoiding direct sunlight, and apply periodic microcrystalline wax to nourish the dry timber.
