Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

A Windsor armchair is a traditional seating design characterised by a solid wooden seat into which the legs and back spindles are directly fitted, typically featuring a bentwood hoop or comb back.

They were traditionally constructed using a combination of timbers, commonly featuring an elm seat for strength, ash or beech for the bent components and spindles, and pine or fruitwood for the undercarriage.

Authentic pieces exhibit signs of hand-tooling, wedged tenon joints passing through the seat, traditional peg construction, and natural wear patterns consistent with age rather than machine-tooled uniformity.

They can be used as a standalone accent piece in a living room, paired with a contemporary dining table to create an eclectic mix, or placed in a hallway to add historical warmth and texture.

Preservation involves maintaining stable indoor humidity levels away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and periodically feeding the wood with microcrystalline wax or traditional beeswax to nourish the finish.
