Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Yew Wood Windsor Armchair to the 19th Century.
The chair has a generously shaped elm saddle seat, raised on turned yew wood legs united by a distinctive crinoline stretcher.

A very appealing country chair with good proportions and plenty of character, displaying the attractive variation in colour and surface associated with yew and elm. The chair retains the knocks, marks and wear consistent with its age and use, contributing to its pleasing, untouched appearance.
