This rare nineteenth-century English Provincial Windsor armchair originates from the Worksop area and comes from a private collection via Charles Lumb and Sons of Harrogate. The piece combines a warm brown yew wood frame with a solid elm seat, displaying a rich, deep timber colour and a smooth polished finish with natural grain variations. Design details include a low curved armrail resting on turned supports, a spindle back with a central pierced vertical splat, and a shaped seat. Below, the four turned legs feature ring turnings and ball-shaped feet, connected by a curved lower stretcher. The overall proportions provide a generous seating area suitable for comfortable daily use in a living room, study, or hallway. Practical dimensions measure 75 cm in width, 70 cm in depth, and 78 cm in height.
