Circa 1880. Pair of Napoleon III (Second Empire) button back upholstered armchairs. Each with scrolling rococo frame acanthus detailing and a mixture of gilding and painted. The backs deep buttoned and pleated, padded arms, stuffover seat in brocade fabric. Slightly outswept back feet, raised on elegant carved tapering legs, resting on brass casters.
