This nineteenth-century Louis XV style open armchair follows the design manner of Blaise Maucuy. Constructed with a solid and sturdy wooden frame finished in time-worn, distressed giltwood, the piece presents a raked back, curved open armrests with padded rests, and cabriole legs. The upholstery consists of a cream-patterned damask or brocade fabric covering the seat and backrest, complemented by a carved crest rail. Practical dimensions measure 96 cm high, 65 cm wide, 82 cm deep, with a seat height of 46 cm.
