Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating during the late Stuart period between 1660 and 1700, Carolean armchairs are defined by high upholstered or caned backs, elaborate crest rails, turned supports, and pierced scrollwork front stretchers.

Cabinetmakers predominantly favoured walnut for its workable texture and rich grain, often pairing it with mortise-and-tenon joinery, woven cane, or imported damask and velvet fabric upholstery.

Authentic pieces display hand-carved asymmetrical variations, hand-turned upright posts with subtle irregularities, original wooden peg joinery, and natural patination or oxidation in unexposed joints.

Position the armchair as a dramatic accent piece alongside clean-lined modern furniture, minimalist wall finishes, or architectural lighting to create a compelling historical contrast.

Keep the wood frame away from central heating sources and direct sunlight to prevent shrinkage, dust regularly with a microfibre cloth, and apply a natural beeswax polish annually.
