ANTIQUE #SA1212326

An Early 19th Century French Mirror

£695    $942    €819
An early 19th French giltwood mirror, the rectangular swept frame gilded onto a red palette and with repeating ripple effect and with an integral slip around the original mercury plate, and with its original wooden boards to the back, French circa 1820.

Condition: Overall very good, the mirror is in good condition with no damage or repairs, the frame is solid and well constructed, the plate is the original and the backboards also appear to be the originals with no signs of being replaced. The gilding has wear consistent with the age of the piece, and overall it has a lovely patina and feel of its age. It can be hung in either portrait or landscape formats.
